Runes are divided into four tiers, and they are:

1. Legendary
2. Epic
3. Rare
4. Uncommon.

Thought we can classify runs with skill type attributes to understand all these runes more precise way like Shadow runes, Chaos, Runes, Holy Runes, Arcane Runes, Electric Runes, Nature Runes, Fire Runes, Ice Runes Thrust Runes,  projectiles Runes, Swing Runes, Slam, blast and Bomb Runes respectively works with their skill type integrated with the name. 

How to Unlock Runes in Soulstone Survivor?

So, now the most important question is how to unlock and use these runes with my build. If you are familiar with the skill tree (option available in the menu bar) you can find an option at the top of the tree in the skill tree area. 

As we can see in that screenshot, there is an icon at the topic with a health-type sign inside that is actually the skill to unlock rune power in the game. And we have already unlocked 5/5. Runes can be unlocked by gaining the ability to equip runes purchasable from the skill tree itself. 

You can simply unlock them with minor soulstones which can be obtained from the map after defeating the bosses. You may need a higher level of soul stone to unlock more runes abilities. 

And this is our basic and starter runes windows where we can unlock and assign new runes for different skills and builds. There are different ways to unlock these runes. Each and every rune needs a unique and specific task to achieve like: 

Earning a specific prestige level,

Completing a map with a character within a certain time,

Completing a specific map with curses,

and Defeating a given number of opponents.

For example- if you check the above screenshot again properly. Then you will that there is a locked rune which needs to clear the map in less than 12 minutes with the barbarian class to unlock this specific rune. 

So very similar, there are different tasks to complete in achievement sections, maps, prestige levels etc to unlock specific runes. Another example would be if there is a rune locked which needs you to reach prestige level 60 with Elementalist to unlock a specific rune. 

In the end, we can say that there is a bit of complexity to unlocking the runes at the beginning but you will get used to it and believe me this is one of the easiest and most entertaining parts of the game to unlock different runes to test out different skills and builds in different game modes.

Well, let’s start with very basic, Endless Cycle is a game mode in Soulstone Survivors. Now time to get some ins and outs for Endless Mode, First of all, Endless mode is rewarding you can earn lots more currency, stones etc from Endless Mode. You can also unlock some new, unique and exclusive characters from endless Mode.

Remember that Soulstone Survivors is an early-access game, so the information provided here may become outdated.

What is Endless Cycle Mode In Soulstone Survivor?

First of all, Endless Mode works like a regular map arena where you must survive and defeat 5 bosses. But after the successful completion, it will open the portal which will take you to the random map to go deep and progress further to achieve more and more levels.

Remember, each and every new arena assign a new level at the top o the screen. Which is the most important aspect of the endless mode because you will unlock new characters at a specific level in endless mode. 

These are known as cycle levels However, after defeating them, the portal will take you to another random map and you can continue the fight. It is worth noting that each move to another arena will increase the counter in the upper right corner of the screen. This is important because unlocking some characters requires a specific endless cycle level.

Benefits of Endless Cycle Mode

We have already discussed that The most crucial thing to obtain through Endless Cycle is to unlock unique and new characters in different cycles/levels. Endless Cycle allows us to unlock new characters with enough progression at a specific run. 

1. The Chaoswalker – Endless Cycle 2.
2. The Legionnaire – Endless Cycle 3.

To Be Noted: In You will also obtain loads of resources, materialism prestige and achievements while progressing through the Endless Cycle. 

How to Start Endless Cycle Mode?

So, if you are not sure how to start Endless Arena or just looking here and there for the endless game mode option in the game and still not able to find the place to activate it. Then this portion is going to be a lifesaver for you as you are going to learn the complete process to activate an endless cycle in your account. 

You have to beat the arena in less than 13 minutes with any character build, class and weapon. But whenever you want to jump inside the Endless Arena you need to finish the regular map in less than 13 minutes. 

And if you successfully complete it in less than 13 minutes then the game will option 3 unique portals for you. 

Blue Portal – This is our regular portal of the sousltone survivors game. It will make you exit the current map and end it straight away. 

Red Portal – this is known as Overload Mode. we will discuss it in a different post. Stay tuned for the Overload Mode Guide

Purple Portal – This comes with an infinity symbol. And purple portal will take you to the Endless Cycle where you are going to enjoy the game a lot more. We have already explained the ins and outs of the endless arena in the above post.

Area –  As we already know, soulstone survivors is a roguelike RPG game and you will face lots of mobs and groups of enemies after every second. So, we need to increase our area of effect along with damage and speed. If our skills can hit long and big ranges then it will be the best and the most viable trait for our regular build so that’s why the area of effect passive is one of the most crucial skills in the soulstone survivors. Area of Effect comes in uncommon, rare, epic and without a doubt, legendary rarity and legendary is the most powerful pick.

Fragility – This is one of the most useable and regular passive used by all players because of its versatile nature. Fragility can be used with almost each and every active skill and any build. It has weakness passive includes inside it 

The Weakness passive skill grants players a 10% chance to apply the Fragility status effect, which will cause enemies to take additional damage from all sources for a total of six seconds. So, let’s say for example if you combined it with Ganrane it will Increase all damage received by 3% for 6 seconds along with a 70% pure chance to apply to bleed too. And bleed will deal 405 damage for 10 seconds.

Multicast – Absolutely monstrous passive. You can’t even imagine any build without Multicast passive in soulstone survivors. It will increase our chance to cast your skill multiple times by 4%/8%/12%/16%/20%, The multicast skill provides a tinny buff or chance to cast a specific skill but it has a high chance to activate the multiple instances of the skill in a single go which automatically doubles the damage of specific skill. And perhaps that’s the biggest buff of the game to provide absolute and true damage value. 

Merciless – if you are part of RPG games or online games of today’s genre then I suppose you are very well aware of the critical damage multiplier buff. All in all each and every player always tries to find out different ways to stack their crit damage value to increase the damage numbers as much as possible. 

Of course, there are plenty of ways to increase crit damage even in sousltone survivors too. But merciless passive skill is one of the easiest and finest ways to achieve and stack the crit damage numbers. 

Merciless Increases your critical damage modifier by an additional 12%/24%/36%. It has no legendary rarity for now but you can the merciless passive without any issue. 

Lethality- This passive runs just after the merciless passive skill. Both of these passives are too important. Where merciless skill increases the crit damage by itself, Lethality increases the chance to deliver a crit hit. So, if you really wanna increase the crit hit chance of the character you need to use the lethality passive. 

There are different ways to increase the crit chance of the characters, some characters and weapons come with the innate value to increase crit hit chance by default. But still, you need some more numbers to maximize the crit hit damage and modifier for maximum damage output. 

Vicious Striker- As we have discussed crit chance and crit damage with merciless and lethality passive skills. We already know the importance of crit chance and crit damage in the gaming world. Even in the soulstone survivors, we have managed to find out the best characters, best active skill, weapon and passive skill to maximize the crit value of the build. 

But there is another rock-solid option available in soulstone survivors. Vicious Striker passive skill, You have a 100% chance to deal a Critical Strike on enemies with full health, instantly triggering a critical strike. This is the best approach to clear the map in a single shot. Vicious Strike is very well known in the community for its massive utility to one-shot anything in the game. 

There are plenty of other useful and comprehensive passive skills available in the soulstone survivors game. But most of them are niche-based, limited or not so good as compared to these top tier passive skills of the soulstone survivors. 

Still, Agile is very good to increase the movement speed of your character in general but passive skills like Spontaneous Combustion, a touch of ice, and venomous work in their own niche. 

Spontaneous Combustion: All your attacks have a 25% chance of applying a Burn stack to the target. Burn Deals x amount of damage over 8 seconds.

Touch of ice: All your attacks have a 40% chance of applying Slow to the target. Chill: Reduces movement speed by 10% for 10 seconds

Venomous: All your attacks have a 30% chance of applying Poison to the target. Poison: Deals x amount of damage over 15 seconds

So, now let’s jump into the Soulstone Survivors Active Skills Tier List without wasting any time furthermore. Here is the list of all the best active skill lists. We may miss some of them but we are doing testing on these skills on regular basis. So, we will update the list on regular basis too. 

Might – if you are playing soulstone survivor and still not using the MIGHT. Then sorry to say you are just messing things up very sweety. Might never be ignored at all. Might is undoubtedly the best support skill in the game. It Empowers you and all your nearby allies, increasing the damage modifier by an additional 50% for 10.0 seconds. Might is like a must-have skill for almost any build. 

Blizzard: As the name suggested this icy skill with large AOE comes under the magical category and lasts longer than others. The impact of the storm deals over six hundred damage after striking enemies in a small radius.

• Slow: Reduces movement speed by 5% for 8 seconds.
• Cooldown: 7.0
• Skill Type: Ice, Lasting, Area, Magical

Bloodlust – if you have played Path of Exile then you may know about the power of bloodlust in the path of exile. So, very similarly Bloodlust performs way better than other active skills in Soulstone Survivors. It increases the movement speed of the character by 20% which is one of the most crucial aspects of soulstone survivors. 

Along with that bloodlust provides a 40% boost in spell casting which is a game-changing boost in end-game maps and more difficult tiers. 

Chain Lightning – And again very similar to the path of exiles channelling, Soulstone survivors have chain lighting skills but are much more powerful and effective again mob. it may lack and not even be viable against a single target but chain lighting destroys multiple enemies in a blink of an eye. 

So, Chain Lightning hurls a lightning bolt at random enemies dealing The initial bolt deals one-hundred-and-eighty damage while applying a percentage of the dazzling and stunning effect and jumping to 5 additional nearby targets if possible and doing damage to each enemy as well. 

Chaos Bomb – You may doubt this skill is in the top tier list. But it has devastating utilities, effects, range and damage itself. It deals up to 700 damage on a regular basis and becomes monstrous with proper support and passive skills. 

We would count it one of the most underrated but most comprehensive skills in the soulstone survivors. It also applies a negative effect on enemies all the time. 

Flame Wave – Perhaps the best-ranged skill along with a massive AOE charge shot. We can count it as the best long-range skill in the game Causes a large explosion at your position, dealing 150 damage to nearby enemies, applying Burn, Stun and pushing them back.

Meteor – Meteor Shower you may agree with us on that if we call it the best fire skill in the game. If you really wanna spam lots of hits on enemies and mobs. And willing to complete the map within 10 minutes or less. Then Meteor will work very well for you. But you need to take care of the entire build with proper support and passive skills. Eg. multicast, cast speed, AOE range etc

Soulstone Tiers List Wiki Explanation 

Before we move onto the soulstone survivors tier list though, we thought we’d quickly explain what our tiers list means:

• S Tier: Top Level, Nothing can match it. True and real end-game stuff. These are the best characters, skills, and weapons (whatever you want to say)  currently available in the game. And you should definitely play with these characters to aim for a high-end finish in a short time and gain access to equipment. S-Tier list characters are basically derived from the community and you can call them meta builds or characters. 

• A Tier: So, if you are starting out the game and still lots of dominated characters are still locked behind because of different and specific reasons. Then these “A” Tier character comes into use. These are likely viable for mid-game stuff and may be powerful enough for the end game too you compose the build accurately. Still, a bit behind S-Tier characters when it comes to clear speed and deep runs.

• C Tier: First of all, we reckon C-Tier only and only for the early game fair. C-Tier characters shine very nicely and greatly in early game content too. It actually seems too powerful for the end game too. But falls off by the time in the end game if you compare them with top-tier characters. You can use them for niche objectives like for specific game modes, for a specific achievement or unlock a specific task, map, or weapon in the quickest way in the early game. 

• D Tier: Every game all over the world or the internet. There are some characters in the game that performs even below the average, we have placed them in the D-Tier character list. These are kind of absolute waste, underperforming and useless as compared to other characters. We suggest you not invest time and progress on these characters. You may find their gameplay cool and enough (that is actually a personal taste) but they person way way way worse than other counterparts. So, avoid D-Tier characters if you can.  

We have just outlined the basics of the general tier list for soulstone survivors. Our soulstone survivor’s character tier list may contain different variations like Tier S, A, B, C, D & F. Let’s see the actual character tier list of soulstone survivors. 

Soulstone Survivors Tier List Wiki 

Tier S:

• Elementalist – Beams op and starts with one. best in the game to date
• Necromancer – Summon skeleton massive AoE damage and huge clear speed.
• Paladin – Holy stuff, can fill up the entire screen with massive holy skills.

All the tier S skills can destroy almost event content of the game. All of them are damm good in single target or again mobs. Their clear speed is top notch and the damage ceiling is like god tier 

Tier A:

• Houndmaster – High damage and able to keep a safe distance from bosses
• Sentinel – Also good damage and can keep at a safe distance

Tier B:

• Barbarian – Very powerful but sometimes lacks against groups with elite enemies because of long cooldown. And its range is mediocre too. Rest is beautiful. 
• Beastmaster – it can work like a necromancer. Don’t expect too much like necro but still, it can work like wonder if bid properly. 

Tier C:

• Spellblade – superb crowd control utility but lacks in damage in deep map
• Arcane weaver -There are too many of the skills but many are mediocre. But still, the default staff is super overpowered if you build correctly. 
• Pyromancer – Same as an arcane weaver.

Tier D:

• Assassin – This is kind of mediocre but if you build something like 120+ movement speed to clear the things in the blink of an eye then it can be a super fast clear build with an extra build. Still, it may lack the damage too.
• Death Knight – Not being able to dash makes it too difficult to dodge
• Choaswalker – Chaos spells aren’t great even with the Controlled chaos

Soulstone Survivors Best Builds Guide

You can find loads of skill combinations which can lead us to different variations and build to do a DHOOM in the map. We have tried and tested different builds which can give you awesome results in almost any stage of the map/game. These are the best available builds for while- 

Elementalist Lightning Build

At Present, Lightning Beam Damage is the most powerful damage in the game. It deals massive damage to the enemies and applies for dazed status on them too which increases the crit chance by 1% for 8 seconds.

Active Abilities

• Lightning Beam.
• Call Lightning.
• Chain Lightning.
• Holy Fire.
• Lightning Bolt.
• Thunder Strike.

Passive Abilities

• Area of Effect.
• Desperation.
• Impending Doom.

These abilities will rack up all lightning damage, critical hits, dazed effect etc simultaneously. Which makes it too powerful skill combination and destroys the enemies and boss in a fraction second.

Pyromancer Burn Build

Very much similar to all other games over the internet, RPG or single players games, Fire damage is the most widely used type of damage even in the Soulstone Survivors too, and we have loads of fire and burn skills in our arsenal already available to use to utilize in the early game. 

Pyromancer’s weapon is the most powerful and destructive weapon of the game to date. It deals massive burning damage to mobs in no time along with a huge list of available active and support skills. Let’s find out the best combo of skills to smash any map and boss in the game.  

Active Abilities

• Fire Slash.
• Explosive Trap.
• Fire Bolt.
• Fire Wall.
• Flame Wave.
• Meteor.
• Meteor Shower.

Passive Abilities

• Damage Increase.
• Desperation.
• Fire Shield.
• Spontaneous Combustion.
• Thermal Shock.

Sentinel Huntress Build

Well, if you love to play with archer or bow as I do, Then Sentinel Huntress build is all you need in this game. It has very high ceiling damage along with top-notch survivability aspects because it deals with all attacks from range. 

This is the best all-rounder build in the game. It is too much powerful when it comes to handling and destroying mobs and groups of enemies but it’s super devastating again boss and single-target enemies. 

Active Abilities

• Rain of Arrows.
• Flame Wave.
• Glacier.
• Meteor.
• Meteor Shower.
• Thunder Clap.
• Thunder Strike.

Passive Abilities

• Area of Effect.
• Damage Increase.

This is not your typical build that utilises only a single element at a time. You can use it with lightning, fire ice, magic, poison or any type of element you want.  

Hound Master Ranged Build

You may find this one very similar to Elementalist build at the top of this post. But in reality, it’s way different from the above one. You may not find this as strong as the Elementalist one. It lacks a bit of defence too but Hound Master Ranged Build perform too well against single target/boss enemies. And not to mention, this already works very against mobs and group enemies too.  

Active Abilities

• Power Blast.
• Holy Fire.
• Meteor.
• Meteor Shower.
• Thunder Clap.
• Thunder Strike.

You can also use any other holy fire or lightning-based abilities that are excellent for high ranged damage.

Passive Abilities

• Area of Effect.
• Damage Increase.
• Fire Shield.

This ability will protect you every time an enemy decides to approach you, applying Burn damage.

Bonus Build- Spells Spamming Build Guide

I’m going to give away one more exclusive and craziest build of soulstone survivors. We have tested and tried this build plenty of times and it always performs a lot better than the previous run. will be using The Arcane Weaver character equipped with the Arcane Staff weapon.

You really don’t need to work on any other active skill. You can still pick 2 or 3 active skills for a backup plan or maybe for sub-DPS work, but most of the time u need to power up the arcane staff skill with support and passive skills like potencies, cooldown, damage, cast speed and spell damages etc. 

Spells Spamming Build is a super crazy and unstoppable skill and class. We really don’t need to think about adding one more or another skill to support your build to increase more damage. Spell Arcane works on a spamming massive amounts of projectiles towards enemies. It will destroy all mobs and groups within seconds too. 

Although, this build gives high ceiling damage and covers your screen with loads of colours and numbers there is a catch in this build too. Actually, there is a tinny drawback that arcane weaver is squishy so you have to invest your skill points in healing, defence, armour etc to stay alive on the map for a long time. It will be a challenging build too and you may need to improve your gameplay and playstyle too. But still, believe me, this is a spectacular glass cannon and one of the strongest Damage Dealers of the Soulstone Survivors.

In the end, we can say there are hundreds of build variations available to try out in soul tone survivors but it’s too hard to find out the viable one for current end-game content. As we already know Soulstone Survivors is an action rogue-lite & bullet hall adventure game but with plenty of RPG elements. So, I agree with the fact that Soulstone Survivors is definitely a roguelike adventure game but you will experience these RPG features also.

Well, This is all about the very basic introduction of the game and Soulstone Survivors Beginners Guide. Now Let’s discuss the all fundamentals of the game that will be covered in this Soulstone Survivors Beginners Guide post like Character Selections, Skills, Weapon, Runes, etc. 

Beginners Guide – Soulstone Survivors

Character Selection 

So, Let’s begin with the character screen, You’re not supposed to create or edit characters in Soulstone Survivors. This is not your usual online character creation MMORPG game. In this area, You will see different characters/classes with a different weapon which has unique skill integrated with them.  

Let’s try to comprehend it with an image:-

That is the image of one of the characters in the soul stone survivors Death Night. And as you can see he has unique stats, skills and passive exclusive to him only. He has some unique traits too as he can never be stunned because he is immune to stun but cannot dodge. 

There are a set of unique skills and available skills for him too. For example-  Unholy can provide an awesome damage boost and buff. 

So, very similar to Th Death Knight, each and every character in soulstone survivors has different stats, bonuses, skills, unique skills, buffs, and passives in their arsenal. You need to play with them to check their potential with thousands of build combinations. 

Blacksmith 

So, The next one is going to be Blacksmith Window. Where you can craft new weapons very much similar to all other RPG and MMO games out there. Let me explain it with a simple image demonstration.  

So, Here is the Blacksmith window, AS you can in the image, there are two weapons

(i) Rusted Blaster – available to specific class/character by default

(ii) Locked – you need recipes and material to unlock this slot and weapon.

Well, As you can this image, There is a name visible for the locked weapon “Riflemen’s Vengeance” You need a recipe and some material to unlock or craft this weapon in the blacksmith window. it also needs around 10,000 currency too.

And this is going to be the last snapshot of the entire process. now we have crafted and unlocked the “Riflemen’s Vengeance”. This weapon has unique stats, traits and passive combinations only exclusive to this weapon and character. it will unlock the new skill named Buckshot which will be available at the start of the map every time by default if you are going to run the map with the current combo.

Runes

In simple words, Runes are very special and dedicated effects, buffs, and debuffs that can be equipped even before a match. These rune effects will definitely decide the route of build for a specific run (match/map). These runes will affect and synergize very well with specific builds, unique playstyles, skills, weapons and characters. I’m going to give you some general examples of these runes 

As we have already discussed runes can change your gameplay, style and progress but there is a catch each rune has runic cost. Basically, you have 5 runic power So, you can use 5 runes that cost 1 or you can use 1 huge rune that cost 5. And again you still need to unlock them from the skill tree and achievements. We will discuss runes in detail in a different post about how to unlock runes.  

Skill Tree

The Skill Tree is one of the most crucial parts of the soulstone survivors game. If you really want to enjoy the game, finish and dominate the game then you need to focus on your skill set a lot with prime priorities. 

You need crystals to unlock different skills which will be very helpful for your characters and make them way stronger. You can get crystals by killing the bosses on the different maps. 

There are three sections available in the skill tree: 

Red– These are basically offensive permanent buffs that can be applied to your active character. You can start investing your precious points into Red Skills if you want to increase damage, crit hits, crit damage, aoe, range etc 

Blue– Blue line is actually a mix of defence and healing aura, e.g if you want to increase health, armour, healing effects, block power or want to reduce damage taken then go for the Blue one before other skills.

Green– Last but not least is Green line is the most effective one as it provide different utilities to our character. For e.g. it will increase the movement speed, casting speed of the skills, pick-up speed of the items, increase the exp points and drop rate of soul stones. This is actually one of the most important zones if you want to level up in the game quickly.   

Map

The most important factor of the game Maps. You can call it the game itself. In real entire game moves and revolves around maps There are currently 5 maps available in early access right now. We will definitely be going to see lots of new maps in the upcoming days as the developer has already shown in the road map. 

Anyways, as we have discussed already, maps are the core of the game where you will be testing out your characters, killing elites, mobs, enemies and bosses. You will earn lots of currency and items from maps. There are different curses, buffs and debuffs that can be applied to MAP. 

Curses can increase the difficulty of the map by too much but also increase the drop rate and make them rewarding too. Speedrunning is also one of the most comprehensive factors in the community right now. There is a lot more to discuss on maps but as this is just a beginner’s guide for soulstone so we will not gonna make it to much complex for a new player. But still, you can read our in-depth map guide on the blog too.

Achievements 

Everything in soulstone survivors interconnected to each other very smoothly and beautifully. So as you can read from the heading we are going to explain the last menu Achievements. 

Achievements work very similarly to all other games. So, you can target achievements for personal milestones, progress and 100% completion. 

There are around 173 achievements to do in the game right now(which can be increased with time) it will definitely take a while to achieve this milestone but believe me it is the most entertaining thing to do in the game. 

In soulstone Achievements are not only for personal satisfaction or for minestrone. It expands the RPG elements in the game very nicely. So, if you want to unlock new weapons, new characters, new skills, unique skills, new runes, new runic powers, or new maps then you have to complete achievements and you will be rewarded with new stuff and material all the time you unlock new achievement
