Smalland Survive the Wilds is buzzing all over the internet because of its unique gameplay, open-world RPG and survival elements, and taming and mounting system. We already have a very informative post about the Mount System of the game but in this post we are solely gonna focus on the taming process of Smalland Survive the Wilds.
So, if you are still struggling to understand the core concert of the taming in the Smalland Survive the Wilds. Then you’re at the right place now as we are going to explain how does taming system work in Smalland Survive the Wilds.
There are plenty of creatures available in the jungle. You can’t name every one of them. First of all, if you wish to tame any critter in the game then you have to fight with it and get his hp below %50% then you will be required to provide him with a specific treat. Different critters need a respective treat e.g. if you wanna tame Grasshopper then you have to prepare Grasshopper Treat for it. More on it here.
If you have everything correctly and get their life below 50% then you need to interact with them and you will be prompted with 3 new options such as Ride, Stay and Release. All of these options are self-explanatory,
Ride– If you want to use the animal as MOUNT.
Stay– if you them to stay at a specific location
Release– it will set them free instantly.
If you tamed an animal then you can mount and run from one place to another. Mount plays a vital role in travelling in the jungle, helping in exploration, doing quests and many more. But Tamed animals can also provide different abilities according to their nature type and category.
Like, If you mount Grasshopper then you can jump and cover long distances with a single click or a jump. Damselfly helps you to fly over and over the jungle. WOLF Spider is a little strong and unique as compared to others and helps in battle with attack and can defend you also.
all of them provide different abilities and powers. Critters can be used for attacks with the default attack action button. You have to take care of your mouth. You can only have one mount at a time. Mount can be damaged, can lose HP, can take part in battle and attack the opponents. Mount uses different abilities and uses stamina whenever you use any of the abilities.
Last but not the least, Mount can be get killed. So, you should always keep an eye on his health all the time.
